The Edgartown Library is located at 58 North Summer Street in downtown Edgartown, two blocks off Main Street and just up the hill from the Chappaquiddick ferry. We are a department of the Town of Edgartown.

Our library holds close to 40,000 materials – books and magazines, DVDs and videos, audio books, compact discs and more. The Edgartown Library is a member of CLAMS, the Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing Network, which offers easy access to the nearly 1.4 million items held by more than 30 participating libraries.

In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, the Edgartown Library welcomed nearly 65,000 visitors and saw a circulation of more than 70,000 items. With interlibrary loan services, we provided our patrons with more than 9,400 items from other libraries in our network, across the state and across the nation.

Our library staff is committed to serving you. Welcome!
