The Edgartown Library is located at 26 West Tisbury Road in Edgartown, two blocks off Main Street and adjacent to the elementary school. We are a department of the Town of Edgartown.

Our library holds over 40,000 materials – books and magazines, DVDs and videos, audio books, compact discs and more. The Edgartown Library is a member of CLAMS, the Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing Network, which offers easy access to the nearly 1.4 million items held by more than 35 participating libraries.

Our library staff is committed to serving you. Welcome!

Our Mission

We remain responsive and relevant to the needs of both our local and global community by maintaining our tradition of excellence in service, fostering lifelong learning, and enriching the lives of the community we serve. We are committed to maintaining equitable access to information and ideas in a continually-evolving public library that is welcoming to all.

Our Vision

The library will be recognized as a civic anchor of the town, a partner with other agencies, organizations, and services, and a dynamic contributor to the town’s cultural and educational well-being.
